Complex medley of ripe stone fruit and toasty oak. A medley of ripe fleshy stone fruit complemented by a fine citrus line and layers of smoky toasty lingering oak. Complex yet balanced, the palate is seamlessly textured with a creamy mid-palate, harmonious acid and integrated toasty oak which lingers.

Harvest Notes:

Gisborne was finally blessed with an extraordinary fantastic vintage, the best since 1998, possibly better. The lovely dry warm weather produced fruit in absolutely perfect balance, with the sugar and acid content of the grapes being in harmony. The fruit was harvested in pristine conditions.

Fermentation Notes:

Ferment was started in stainless steel then pumped into a variety of barrels.

Maturation Notes:

Lees aging with stirring of lees 12 months. 29 percent new oak balance old oak. All French oak.
