Description:

Palate:
Blackcurrant and gooseberry fruit flavours are present in abundance. The generous palate weight ensures versatility when paired with food.

Food and Wine Match:

Designed to complement a wide range of cuisines, this wine will excel in partnership with fresh goats cheeses and dishes involving tomatoes, olives, or pears.

Cellaring:

This wine is ready to enjoy upon release but can be cellared for up to two years if rounder, more developed characters are desired.

Harvest Notes:

If the Marlborough wilderness was good enough for Sir Edmund Hillary (the Awatere Valley’s Mt. Tapuae-o-Uenuku was the first mountain he “knocked off”), it’s good enough for anyone with a taste for adventure. The fruit from vineyard blocks in the lower Wairau Valley imbues Marlborough’s signature wine, Sauvignon Blanc, with particular pungency and power.
